What you will do
- Receive service calls from Service Resource Center, including a brief description of equipment/system malfunctions.
- Contact customer representative and ascertain equipment/systems problems.
- Perform service and repairs on sprinkler systems for commercial and industrial applications, including wet (steel, copper and CPVC), dry, pre‑action, deluge and fire pumps.
- Follow prescribed troubleshooting procedures and refer to technical manuals, part manuals, change notices, bulletins, and modification notices to diagnose and repair equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems, programs, schematics and operational product manuals.
- Demonstrate a high level of customer service, with strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly.
- Work independently.
- Minimum 2+ years of documented experience in the Fire Sprinkler industry performing service and repair on Sprinkler and Suppression systems.
- Retain any licenses required by National, State and Local codes.
- Maintain truck inventory to ensure timely response to customer needs.
- Adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets company requirements.
- Follow verbal and written instructions.
- Capable of performing physical labor including carrying and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 70 lbs, working in unusual or difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 60 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
- Follow, read, and understand all safety requirements of the company and the customer.
- Preferred: NICET Level II certification.
Pay Range: hourly rate determined by the CBA/rate sheet. Benefits are provided through a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role.
