Voids Multi

A housing provider is seeking an experienced Voids Multi-Trade Operative to join their team on a temp-to-perm basis, carrying out void property refurbishments and repairs across Havant and surrounding areas.

• 22.50 per hour (Umbrella)
• 36,000 per annum (Permanent)

• Carrying out all aspects of void property maintenance to ensure homes are ready for new tenants.
• Completing a range of carpentry works including:
  • Door repairs and replacements
  • Kitchen fitting and repairs
  • Skirting, architraves, and general woodwork
  • Lock changes and repairs
• Undertaking multi-trade repairs including:
  • Basic plumbing
  • Tiling
  • Patch plastering
  • Decorating
• Identifying and resolving property defects within void properties.
• Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and within target turnaround times.
• Using a PDA/mobile device to receive, update, and complete job orders.
• Maintaining excellent health and safety standards at all times.

• Proven experience as a Multi-Trade Operative within social housing or residential maintenance.
• Strong carpentry skills with the ability to carry out additional trade disciplines.
• Previous experience working on void properties.
• Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
• Good understanding of social housing maintenance standards.
• Full UK Driving Licence (company van provided).
• DBS check required (completed at offer stage).
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

• Kitchen and bathroom fitting experience.
• Flooring installation and repairs.
• Experience completing full void refurbishments from start to finish.
• Basic knowledge of compliance and housing sector standards.
