Annunciation Catholic School in Havelock, NC is seeking a preschool and or Kindergarten teacher’s assistant. The preschool/Kindergartenteacher’s assistant helps the lead teacher with set up, clean up, and administration of lessons. They are a positive and helpful role model.

• Assist the Lead Teacher in meeting the individual needs of the children
• Meet daily with the Lead Teacher to discuss the planned instructional materials for the day
• Take initiative to direct, guide and motivate the children in various areas of the learning center
• Maintain confidentiality
• Make progress on identified annual professional goals
• Help maintain a safe and orderly environment
• Prepare materials for presentation
  
  Support classroom discipline
• Familiarize oneself with the contents of the Parent/Student Handbook
• Assist in leaving the classroom in good order
• Attend staff meetings and appropriate in-service workshops (which includes current certification in CPR/1st Aid)

• High school diploma.
• A minimum of 3 years of professional work experience, preferably with younger children.
• Employment is contingent upon applicant satisfactorily passing criminal background and reference checks.
• Must complete the diocese-sponsored Safe Environment Training prior to start.
