Overview
Full-Time Family Nurse Practitioner opportunity in Havelock, NC
. Main Street Family Care is growing, and we are looking to hire a fast, friendly Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our team. You will provide patient-focused care in urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine. The ideal applicant will be able to lead a small team in a high-volume, fast-paced urgent care environment.
This is an opportunity suitable for FNPs early in their career, including new graduates. After on-site orientation and training, you will have several training shifts with existing providers in one of our clinics. Support includes a pediatric urgent care CE course and access to an NP on-call to assist with clinical decision making as you grow in the role.
Responsibilities- Care for every patient within your scope of practice in a high-volume urgent care setting.
- Diagnose and treat conditions such as cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues.
- Perform minor procedures (e.g., toenail removal, foreign object removal) and suturing.
- Splinting, general orthopedic evaluations/management, and review of X-rays (over-read by Radiologist).
- General dermatology and eye problem management.
- General EKG interpretations and emergency management skills.
- General GYN expertise and care for patients of all ages, including children.
- Occupational medicine and telemedicine services.
Main Street Clinic hours: open seven days a week with extended hours.
- Monday – Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
- Saturday – Sunday: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Rotating schedule that includes every other weekend. Sample rotations may include:
Week 1 – Week 2 patterns with alternating days off and on as part of a two-week cycle.
- Family Nurse Practitioner Board Certification required.
- MSN or higher, new graduate friendly.
- DOT certification or willingness to become DOT certified; certification cost covered by the employer.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with EMR and Microsoft Office suite preferred.
