Position: Culinary Arts Instructor - Anticipated Vacancy 2026-2027 SY
QUALIFICATIONS:

Massachusetts Teachers licensure as a Culinary Arts Instructor by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. Possession of current Food Sanitation Certification.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Implement and periodically update a course of study based upon Massachusetts Vocational/Technical Education Curriculum Frameworks.
Maintain all records necessary for reporting student grades, performance, and the documentation of student competencies using the Vocational/Technical Competency Tracking System (VTCTS).
Prepare lesson plans at least two weeks in advance.
Establish and enforce a disciplinary code consistent with the student handbook which reinforces a professional atmosphere for the industry, as well as a safe learning environment.
Prepare and/or assist in the development of a departmental budget.
Maintain and update a department inventory.
Utilize assessment data to drive instruction to support learning, state testing, mid-year exams, and final exams.
Responsible for meeting all administrative deadlines.
Maintain the condition of all classroom/shop facilities.
Supports efforts outlined in the School Improvement Plan.
Perform all duties and functions as deemed necessary by the Superintendent, Administration, and his/her designee.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

10 Month Position
According to Teacher Salary Schedule(Salary Range $64,472 - $118,996 depending on experience, licensure & degree/credits)
