$30.00/hr - Bachelor's Degree

$25.00/hr - Associate's Degree

Organizational Relationship

or Line of Authority:

Directly responsible to the Principal. Jointly responsible to appropriate Curriculum Supervisor.

The position is Monday & Wednesday 12:10pm-2:10pm from February 23 2026-May 4 2026 Then Monday-Friday 12:10pm-2:10pm from May 5, 2026-June 5, 2026

Statement of Duties:

* Provides small group instruction.

* Participates in co-planning sessions.

* Works with other support specialists to collect and/or disseminate student assessment information.

* The Tutor is expected to diagnose student weaknesses and develop IEP Goals.

* Responsible for instructional and general duties as indicated by the Curriculum Supervisors, and directives of the Superintendent of Schools or his/her designee, and policies of the Haverhill School Committee.

Qualifications:

* Licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education required.

* Knowledge of middle school philosophy, organization, and curriculum.

* Understanding of the middle school student and his/her early adolescent needs.

* Knowledge of recommended middle school instructional practices.

* Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent of Schools may find appropriate and acceptable.
