Job Description – Adjunct Faculty – Business and Accounting ) – Northern Essex Community College (NECC) serves about 5,000 credit students each semester on two campuses located in the Merrimack Valley region of Massachusetts. NECC’s Haverhill campus sits on 106 acres near Kenoza Lake and features a Technology Center and an award‑winning Student One‑Stop Center. The urban campus in Lawrence occupies buildings in downtown Lawrence.

SummaryFor Fall 2026 we are seeking instructors for a primarily day‑accelerated, face‑to‑face Introduction to Accounting I (ACC
101) class at the Lawrence campus. Additional courses will be offered at Haverhill and/or Lawrence campuses in daytime, evening, online, face‑to‑face, or hybrid formats as needed.
Dean of Business and Professional Studies
Responsibilities- Teach assigned courses according to the Academic Catalog description and established departmental student learning outcomes.
- Adhere to all NECC policies and MCCC contract requirements, including policies regarding grading, deadlines, evaluation processes, and syllabus requirements.
- Master's degree in Accounting, Business, or related field.
- Experience teaching at the college level in a related discipline.
- Experience using technology in instruction and assessment.
- Community college teaching experience.
- Experience with online and hybrid teaching and experiential learning.
- Experience with Brightspace Learning Management System.
- Experience working with and supporting a culturally diverse population.

Salary$1,512.00 – $1,826.00 per credit, based on DCE step, per the DCE Contract; non‑benefited.
Anticipated Start DateAs needed, based on departmental requirements and candidate availability.
