Summary:
We are seeking instructors for our pool of Adjunct Faculty to teach various Psychology, Sociology, and Anthropology courses on an as‑needed basis for the Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 Semesters. Successful applicants would teach 3‑credit courses in Introduction to Psychology, Introduction to Sociology, or Cultural Anthropology. Classes are held on NECC's Haverhill and/or Lawrence campuses. Seeking instructors for primarily day and evening face‑to‑face classes, which could include Early College classes.
Future possibility of online or hybrid instruction exists and would require successful completion of mandatory training. A list of potential courses can be found online in the Course Catalog. Descriptions for Anthropology, Psychology, and Sociology introductory courses can be viewed here. Adjunct faculty will play a critical role in the teaching and learning process, contributing to student success. Positions will be available pending sufficient enrollment.

Responsibilities- Teach assigned courses according to Academic Catalog description and established departmental student learning outcomes.
- Adhere to all NECC policies and MCCC contract requirements, including policies regarding grading, deadlines, evaluation process, syllabus requirements, materials posted on the LMS, and required meetings.
- Master's degree in related academic discipline.
- Experience teaching in a related academic discipline at the college level.
- Experience using technology in instruction and assessment.
- Community College teaching experience.
- Experience with online and hybrid teaching and experiential learning.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English).
- Experience working with and supporting a culturally diverse population.

Additional Information- Salary: $1,512.00/credit - $1,826.00/credit, per credit based on DCE step, per the DCE Contract, non-benefited.
