$30.00/hr – Bachelor's Degree

$25.00/hr – Associate's Degree

Organizational Relationship or Line of Authority:
Directly responsible to the Executive Director of Student Support Services and/or their designee. Jointly responsible to the appropriate Curriculum Supervisor.

• Provide customized instruction to meet the needs of the student being tutored for reasons regarding:
• Special education
• Long-term suspension
• Approved home/hospital form
• The discretion of the Executive Director of Student Support Services
• Coordinate with faculty to provide content instruction and assessment of student work.
• Build a positive rapport with students, teachers, and families to ensure the academic success of HPS students.
• Responsible for instructional and general duties as indicated by the Curriculum Supervisors, directives of the Superintendent of Schools or his/her designee, and policies of the Haverhill School Committee.

• Licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education preferred.
• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree required.
• Knowledge of school philosophy, organization, and curriculum.
• Understanding of the school student and their needs.
• Knowledge of recommended school instructional practices.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent of Schools may find appropriate and acceptable.
