Salary: $56,473 (B Step
1) to $112,526 (M75 Step 14)

Organizational Relationship:
- Directly responsible to the building Principal in all procedural matters pertaining to the building.
- Jointly responsible to the building Principal and Math Supervisor.
Statement of Duties:
- Serve as liaison between the Math Supervisor, Math Coach, and classroom teachers.
- Consult with classroom teachers on grouping, testing, student placement, and instructional strategies.
- Identify and select children based on available test data, reading level, and teacher input.
- Support teachers by providing resources and ideas about assessment and instruction.
- Assist with progress monitoring for students in need of interventions.
- Identify reading deficiencies and prescribe plans for remediation.
- Work with students on Tier I, Tier II, and Tier III interventions.
- Administer, score, and record results of pre‑post standardized tests.
- Align remedial instruction with the classroom math program and integrated services where possible.
- Participate in kindergarten screening, team evaluations, and testing of new students as directed.
- Assess math proficiency through progress monitoring.
- Analyze data to drive effective instruction.
- Participate in decision making about student grouping and movement across tiers.
- Complete pupil progress reports and discuss program with parents.
- Promote students’ interest in math.
- Inventory math materials in assigned building(s).
- Work cooperatively with Title I, Special Education, Math Coach, and administrators.
- Attend monthly math meetings with the Math Supervisor.
- Perform instructional and other general duties as indicated by the building Principal, Math Supervisor, and Superintendent of Schools.
Qualifications:
- Certified as a Teacher of Math by the Massachusetts Department of Education, SEI Endorsement (Required).
- Ed. in Math preferred.
- Demonstrated classroom teaching experience.
- Alternative qualifications acceptable as determined by the Superintendent of Schools.
- Skills, knowledge, and dispositions to effectively and collaboratively work with teachers to improve general classroom math instruction.
Additional Requirements:
- At least 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
