Title:

Teacher of Art, Consentino Middle School, Haverhill Public Schools, Massachusetts. Start date September 1, 2026. Work year August‑June 2026‑2027. Salary $56,473 to $112,526 per year. Full‑time.

• Advise classroom teachers regarding art lessons in conjunction with their regular instructional program.
• Attend in‑service meetings as required.
• Design units of instruction with measurable outcomes and challenging tasks that support higher‑order thinking.
• Develop well‑structured lessons with engaging activities, materials, and technology.
• Administer informal and formal assessments, analyze results, and adjust instruction.
• Use differentiated instruction, tiered instruction, and scaffolds for students with diverse needs.
• Maintain a safe learning environment, enforce student work and behavior standards.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop standards‑based units and analyze student performance.
• Engage families and communities; communicate regularly about student progress and strategies.
• Reflect on practice, set measurable professional growth goals, and apply new ideas.
• Support school‑wide behavior and learning expectations.
• Perform additional instructional duties as directed by principal or superintendent.

• Licensed by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education – Visual Art – Pk‑8 (required).
• Evidence of training in curriculum and methods for Art Education.
• Experience with computer graphics and related software (preferred).
• Proficiency demonstrated by undergraduate/graduate transcripts in the field.
• Successful teaching experience or practice teaching.
• Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
