A Master’s Degree in Special Education or a related field with experience as an Evaluation Team Leader is preferred.
Major Responsibilities- Arrange initial evaluations, annual reviews, three‑year evaluations, and independent evaluations as required.
- Assist the Assistant Principal’s office with disciplinary issues, ensuring procedural safeguards, arranging manifestation determination meetings, and conducting functional behavior assessments as required.
- Participate in Student Study Team meetings to address special education needs within the school program.
- Assist the Associate Principal in designing student schedules to ensure service in the least restrictive environment, compliant with the Individualized Education Program delivery grid.
- Maintain an open line of communication with member districts to provide required paperwork.
- Monitor compliance with all State and Federal regulations as required.
- Meet regularly with the Associate Principal to interpret MCAS test results and guide classroom teachers in instruction.
- Assist the Associate Principal in implementing MCAS accommodations during testing administrations.
- Perform other duties and functions as deemed necessary by the Director of Pupil Personnel, Principal/Assistant Superintendent, and Superintendent.
According to Teachers’ contract – FY27 Salary Schedule (Range from $64,472 to $118,996, depending on experience, licensure, and degree/credits).
