Responsibilities

Support Quality Dept. in process qualification, documentation, troubleshooting, and failure analysis. Component part inspection and analysis of historical results for tracking and trending of supplier quality.

  • Main Project:
    Work alongside the Quality team to reduce manufacturing defect incidents at the Haverhill site. Due to the high number of issues with different root causes, intern support is needed to implement strong corrective actions.
Job Function
  • Work as an effective member of the quality team, learn and support inspection, non-conformances, returns, documentation, and calibration.
  • Learn about and be an active member of the natural quality High Performance Team (HPT), leading the team in late summer 2025 (FY2026 Q1).
  • Learn about and be an active member of Quality Starpoint, RTB, Genba, Gensuite (continuous improvement program), and work on projects on a cross-site team.
  • Reviews engineering and manufacturing documentation to ensure clarity, and complete compliance with requirements, document discrepancies and forward to appropriate personnel for action.
  • Troubleshoot parts issues using statistical problem‑solving techniques and work with QE to determine root cause and corrective action.
  • Assist in ensuring that the site meets the maintenance and compliance requirements for ISO 9001 certifications. Documents audits per schedule and assists with improvement opportunities.
  • Participates lean initiatives / Kaizens as assigned.
Qualifications
  • College Student, preferably entering junior or senior year.
  • Engineering degree in process, Mechanical, Industrial or Electromechanical Engineering preferred.
  • Excellent statistical analysis skills;
    Excel, Access or Minitab.
  • Must be able to read a Bill of Materials and Engineering drawings.
  • Good communication, computer (Microsoft Office) & interpersonal skills required.
  • Familiarity with basic measurement and inspection tools, gauges, and devices.
Compensation
  • Pay Range: $13.03/hr to $21.71/hr.
  • No benefit plan eligibility.
