A Chief Engineer will lead facility operations, overseeing preventive maintenance, ensuring code compliance (OSHA, local), implementing energy efficiency strategies to maintain a safe, functional, and cost-effective environment for occupants and operations.

• Direct daily engineering/maintenance, monitor Plant Systems and handle emergency responses.
• Train, mentor, and manage Operating staff and third-party contractors; conduct performance reviews.
• Oversee and operate 3 boilers managing a 3‑man crew to assure 24‑hour coverage Monday through Friday.
• Schedule shut‑downs for maintenance and inspections.
• Ensure all logbooks and round sheets are current and stored properly.
• Ensure water chemistry vendor performs weekly testing and maintenance.
• Ensure adherence to local/federal codes, manage safety protocols (OSHA).

• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and steam plant automation systems.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Familiarity with building codes and safety regulations a plus.
• Requires 3rd Class Engineers license, high school diploma/GED plus relevant technical experience.
