Travel COTA - Skilled Nursing Facility

American Traveler is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a Long Term Care position in Massachusetts, requiring active OTA licensure and prior LTC or rehab experience.

• Active OTA license required (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 1+ years of OTA experience required
• LTC or rehabilitation setting experience required
• New grads considered if they completed Level II fieldwork experience
• One reference required for consideration

• Long term care (LTC) facility setting within the Occupational Therapy department
• Day shift schedule, 8-hour shifts, 35 guaranteed weekly hours
• 13-week assignment length
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• Provide rehabilitative and medically necessary treatment to patients with cognitive and/or physical functioning disorders under supervision of an Occupational Therapist
• Administer ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of supportive/assistive devices
• Assess patient progress and communicate with supervising OT to adjust treatment plans
• Document all regulatory and clinically required information in the electronic documentation system
• Accurately record treatment minutes per regulatory and clinical requirements
• Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and other required meetings
• Assist supervising OT in obtaining necessary DME or supplies
• May supervise and support students under OT guidance
• Adhere to NBCOT/AOTA and state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics
• No more than 7 days of requested time off (RTO)
