Location:
Ward Hill, MA Pay Range: $35/hr - $40/hr
Job Summary:
We're looking for a reliable Facilities & Maintenance Technician to support the safe and efficient operation of our facility. You'll perform preventative maintenance, conduct inspections, complete repairs, and respond to maintenance requests. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who is mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and comfortable with a variety of physical and technical tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on facility equipment and site assets
- Conduct routine inspections to identify wear, damage, or maintenance needs
- Complete basic troubleshooting and repairs on equipment and facility systems
- Perform general building maintenance including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical tasks (within training scope)
- Respond to maintenance requests and prioritize based on safety and urgency
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and work orders
- Support installation, relocation, and removal of equipment and furniture
- Perform manual labor such as moving materials, organizing storage, and removing debris
- Follow all safety procedures including proper PPE use and lockout/tagout protocols
- Coordinate with outside contractors as needed
Must-Have
Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of hands-on maintenance, building, or mechanical work experience
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools safely
- Ability to read manuals, procedures, and follow work orders
- Basic computer skills for documentation
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and perform repetitive bending and kneeling
- Strong focus on safety and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks
Industry
Experience:
- Facilities maintenance, equipment maintenance, or building maintenance
- Manufacturing, warehouse, distribution, or commercial facility environments preferred
