Fabrication, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Welder / MIG/MAG/TIG
Position Summary
Responsible for manufacturing, assembling, and maintaining fixtures, building guards, and other safety-related equipment. This role requires precision fabrication skills, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work with a variety of materials and tools. The fabricator will interpret technical drawings, operate fabrication equipment, and ensure all products meet quality and safety specifications.
Responsibilities- Interpret and follow engineering blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for tool room fixtures, building guards, and safety equipment
- Measure, mark, cut, bend, and assemble components (Plastics, steel, aluminium, etc.) to exact specifications
- Fabricate and install building and manufacturing fixtures and other safety-related items
- Maintain and repair existing fixtures, guards, and equipment as needed
- Follow all safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and company safety procedures
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and in compliance with 6S/5S workplace standards
- Document work performed and assist in continuous improvement initiatives
- Other duties as needed including maintenance activities.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Technical training in metal fabrication, welding or manufacturing is preferred.
- Certified Welder (AWS, CW etc) or other relevant certifications preferred not required
Experience:
- 1-2 years in a related field.
Skills:
- Proficiency in operating Lathes and Bridgeport and familiarity with CAD/CAM software is preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and ability to follow instructions
- Ability to work with precision measuring tools and tool room equipment
- Physical stamina, good dexterity, and colour vision for safety‑related work
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, safety‑critical environment.
Competitive Compensation:
- Pay Range: $23.4/hr to $40.1/hr
- Participation in Annual Incentive Program
