Purpose: We are seeking a detail‑oriented and responsible individual to join our team as a 3rd Shift Sanitation Worker working under the direction of the Sanitation Supervisor within our food manufacturing facility. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of equipment, production areas, and surrounding spaces to meet food safety and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities- Perform thorough cleaning and sanitization of production equipment, processing areas, and other surfaces according to established procedures and schedules.
- Disassemble and reassemble equipment for cleaning purposes.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify and report any sanitation issues, equipment damage, or potential safety hazards.
- Document and report any deviations from cleanliness standards.
- Follow strict GMP Regulations (“good manufacturing practices”) and SQF policies (“safe quality foods”) when working around active food‑production areas, including following all FDA and USDA requirements and procedures.
- Safely handle and use cleaning chemicals and sanitizers in accordance with company policies and safety guidelines.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist in routine maintenance/sanitation tasks as directed.
- Previous experience in sanitation or a related field, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of proper sanitation procedures, chemical handling, and safety protocols.
- Ability to follow detailed cleaning schedules and procedures.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Basic understanding of food safety regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Refrigerated (40 °F) and wet environment. Some lifting/bending.
ScheduleThird shift – scheduled 10:00 pm – 6:30 am Monday–Friday. Schedule is subject to change ±2 hours based on operational needs.
Compensation & BenefitsPosition offers a starting hourly range of $22–23 per hour.
