• Implements accurate, safe, patient centric anesthetic care.
• Understands physiological implications and anesthetic considerations of surgical procedures.
• Continuously monitors vital signs, capnography, and pulse oximetry during anesthesia according to ASA guidelines.
• Ensures appropriate documentation within hospital and regulatory requirements.
• Protects all forms of information from unauthorized access.
• Demonstrates a high standard of moral and ethical behavior, professionalism, compassion, and commitment to patient care.
• Continuously engages in projects that maintain and advance professional competency.

• Completion of a Certified Nurse Anesthetist Training Program.
• Graduate of a Nurse Anesthesia Educational Program accredited by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists and the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Programs.
• Clinical working experience as a CRNA within the specialty/service line recommended.
• APRNs, PAs, CRNAs, and CNMs must be appointed to the Affiliated Medical Staff of a YNHHS Hospital and credentialed through the Medical Staff process.
• CRNAs must be able to stand for long periods, wear lead during fluoroscopy/X‑Ray cases, lift 25 pounds, and reach above and below shoulder height.
• Ability to negotiate patient care environments and move self/patients between anesthesia locations.

• Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (AANA Certification)
• State of CT RN and APRN License
• ACLS Certification
• DEA Registration
• State of CT Controlled Substance Registration
