Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care to residents, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration rate, and blood pressure
- Assist with resident transfers, utilizing proper body mechanics and safety protocols
- Help with incontinent care, including changing bedpans and urinals
- Provide oral hygiene and denture care
- Assist with medication administration and treatment procedures
- Participate in resident assessments and care planning
- Collaborate with nursing staff to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of resident care
- Promote a positive and respectful environment for residents, families, and staff
- Currently certified as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of Massachusetts
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a long-term care setting
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and responsibilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift, transfer, and reposition residents with moderate to heavy weights
- Willingness to participate in facility education programs and support continuous quality improvement initiatives
