Travel LPN - LPN

American Traveler is hiring an LPN for a Post Acute Long Term Care evening shift position requiring an active state license and 3+ years of experience.

• Current active LPN license required if applicable
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience required
• Current BLS/BCLS certification required
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull 40 lbs
• Able to stand for up to 4 hours per day, bend, squat, stoop, kneel, and walk
• Able to read, write, and speak English in a legible and understandable manner

• Post Acute Long Term Care (LTC) facility setting
• Evening shift 3p-11p
• 13-week assignment
• Observe and report resident symptoms and conditions, administer medications, and provide treatments as ordered
• Maintain resident records including condition, medication, treatments, and progress notes
• Transcribe physician orders and coordinate drug orders
• Assist with nursing history, assessments, MDS, and care plan updates
• Assist in orientation and supervision of nursing staff, including direct CNA supervision
• Perform resident admissions and discharges
• Notify physicians and family members of changes in resident status or treatment
• Assume Charge Nurse responsibilities when necessary
• Participate in ongoing in-service education
