Job Summary
The role is to stock, rotate, and store general merchandise and/or food in BJ’s Wholesale Club, ensuring that all merchandise is clearly labeled, fully stocked, and displayed according to company standards. The team member maintains a clean, organized environment by removing trash and debris and performing general housekeeping duties.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities- Stock, rotate, and store general merchandise and food items.
- Ensure all merchandise is fully stocked and clearly labeled.
- Maintain display signage and create/apply product sales tags.
- Handle damaged or spoiled goods in accordance with company policies.
- Perform general housekeeping duties, removing trash and cardboard.
- Maintain club policies and procedures and perform other duties as assigned.
- Ensure a safe and positive environment for members and coworkers.
- Support adherence to club policies, procedures, and compliance.
- Act with honesty and integrity, leading with the member in mind.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Previous grocery/stock experience preferred.
- Big box/wholesale retail experience preferred.
Physical activities include moving around hard surfaces, bending, climbing, crawling, handling, pulling, reaching, stooping, and lifting objects up to 30 pounds, with occasional lifting over 30 pounds with assistance. The work environment is indoor with potential exposure to temperature extremes from freezers, ovens, and coolers, and occasional cleaning agents. Adequate hearing may require shouting to be heard amid loud equipment.
CompensationThe pay range for this position is $17.00 – $20.83 per hour (estimate subject to location, education, experience, and qualifications).
