We are hiring Security Guards to join our dynamic care team at The Oxford Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Haverhill!

Part-time and full-time openings on 10a-6p. Weekly pay ranging from $16 to $17 an hour.

You ensure the safety and security of the residents, employees, facility, facility grounds, and equipment.

Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or its equivalent.
  • Security experience required.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conduct an inventory of personal belongings on all admissions and safely remove and store any contraband.
  • Conduct and document, as a minimum, hourly rounds of the entire facility and its grounds, and immediately report any safety concerns to the supervisor.
  • Report/document environmental concerns.
  • Be present and assist, if needed, if and when a resident may be struggling to manage emotions.
  • Ensure visitors sign in, show identification, and conduct an inventory search.
  • Conduct frequent checks with residents deemed as risk, including physically viewing residents’ whereabouts and documentation of where they are, what they are doing, and who, if anyone, they are with.
  • Assist staff with room searches.
  • May be assigned to a resident on a 1:1 basis for a determined period of time, including direct supervision at all times.
Specific Requirements
  • Must be able to read, write, and comprehend the English language.
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions, to follow instructions, and to accept constructive criticism.
  • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
  • Must have general knowledge of repair and maintenance practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines as they pertain to long-term care.
  • Must be willing to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel.
  • Must have patience, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult situations using effective problem-solving techniques.
