Compensation

Base Pay $21.00 / Hour

Employee Type Hourly FT

$21.00 starting salary (Starting rate can vary based upon experience)

Potential annual salary of $58,000 - $75,000 after all bonuses, overtime and shift differential.

No experience necessary, we provide paid training.

General

The Driver/ Delivery Technician is responsible for the delivery, set‑up and pick‑up of DME equipment, supplemental oxygen products, and supplies to home care patients within a prescribed and assigned geographic area.

Reports To:

Operations Manager / Route Supervisor

Responsibilities
  • Become familiar with all DOT and FDA regulations as they pertain to oxygen.
  • Assist, when necessary, the pulling of equipment and supplies from the warehouse as prescribed on patient/client delivery tickets.
  • Load the equipment, oxygen systems, and related supplies onto a delivery vehicle.
  • Determine or obtain best daily route, then drive delivery vehicles on that route to deliver durable medical equipment, oxygen, and supplies to home care patients/clients in a timely manner.
  • Provide patient/client orientation, instructing on proper use of equipment, when applicable.
  • Work with patients/clients to solve a variety of problems, thereby acting as a company field representative.
  • Pick up rental equipment, as directed.
  • Return and unload returned rental equipment at the warehouse facility.
  • Complete delivery and pickup paperwork promptly and accurately, returning said paperwork to the appropriate facility personnel.
  • Assist in cleaning and disinfecting rental equipment; assist in minor repair work.
  • Perform daily preventive maintenance on assigned vehicle.
  • Maintain a neat, clean personal appearance.
  • Promote teamwork among co‑workers that includes assisting fellow drivers, as needed.
  • Work Saturdays on a predetermined, rotating schedule.
  • Take “on call” time on a predetermined, rotating basis, coinciding with the Saturday shift.
  • Perform warehouse and office maintenance tasks as required.
  • Demonstrate timeliness, courtesy, sincerity and patience when dealing with customers.
  • Market the company in a positive and professional manner at all times.
  • Accept other duties and activities as assigned.
Requirements

Physical Requirements:

  • In an 8‑hour day the employee lifts/carries 100 lbs. occasionally.
  • In an 8‑hour day the employee lifts/carries 50 lbs. often.
  • In an 8‑hour day the employee drives/stands/walks 8 hours.

Be at least 23 years of age and have had a valid DMV driver license for a minimum of 3 years.
