Position Summary
This role is responsible for performing the activities of the shipping functions to ensure efficiency.
Responsibilities- Updates computer for all shipped customer orders so that accurate and current inventory balances are maintained on all parts within the warehouse.
- Works with lean team to develop and implement appropriate process improvements in team area.
- Creates standard work for key process in the area.
- Responsible for creating and editing of procedures in accordance with ISO criteria.
- Confirms all export requirements are met before a package is shipped.
- Ensures quality check off procedure is followed. Reviews any returns caused by shipping and creates an action plan to prevent future issues.
- Checks that the premium freight approval process is being followed and approval has been granted before any premium shipment.
- Works with team to cross train and cover areas when employees are absent or when an area is over capacity. These areas include but are not limited to the supermarket, consignment, shipping and receiving.
- Other duties as assigned.
- EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- EXPERIENCE:
- 1-3 years of experience in shipping.
- SKILLS:
- Good interpersonal and communication skills required.
- Pay Range: $20.35/hr to $27.35/hr
- Participation in Annual Incentive Program
