Distribution Supervisor – Ward Hill, MA

Schedule:

Monday–Friday 8am-5pm (flexible to support business needs)

What You'll Do

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team responsible for daily distribution and warehouse operations, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure all receiving, storage, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory activities are completed safely, accurately, and on time.
  • Analyze operational metrics and KPIs to identify trends, improve productivity, enhance inventory accuracy, and deliver exceptional customer service through Lean and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee the safe handling, storage, and distribution of hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals while ensuring compliance with applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain compliance with GMP requirements, DEA regulations, company policies, and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies, shipping issues, and operational challenges using root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Partner with Manufacturing, Planning, Procurement, Quality, Finance, and Logistics to resolve operational issues and improve material flow.
  • Lead daily operational meetings to communicate priorities, safety initiatives, quality expectations, and performance results.
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, training, and employee development to support current operations and future growth.
  • Support audits, quality initiatives, SOP development, and regulatory inspections.
  • Monitor operational performance and communicate inventory and distribution metrics to site leadership.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education Required:

    High school diploma or GED (higher education preferred)
  • 4+ years of experience in warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or supply chain operations required
  • At least 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience required
  • Experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or ERP systems
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or other regulated manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Experience supporting DEA-controlled substances programs or highly regulated inventory environments preferred.
  • Inventory Management and Inventory Control Principles
  • Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP Systems
  • Cycle Counting and Inventory Reconciliation Processes
  • Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement Methodologies
  • Supply Chain and Distribution Operations
  • GMP and Regulatory Compliance Requirements
  • Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action Management
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within cross-functional and global teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment while managing multiple priorities.

  • This position supports warehouse and distribution operations involving regulated products, including hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals.
