Vehicle Maintenance Technician – Full Time

What We're Looking For

• Valid PA CDL and PA State Inspection License (Class
  7)
• Formal training + 5+ years' experience in vehicle maintenance
• Ability to supply your own tools
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic, gasoline, diesel, electric, and hybrid systems
• Experience with diagnostics, scan tools, A/C service, and fabrication
• Ability to perform heavy manual labor in all weather
• Professional communication, teamwork, and commitment to ongoing training
• A reputation for initiative, integrity, and responsible use of resources

What You'll Do

• Maintain and repair the Township's full fleet — emergency, public safety, sanitation, recreation, and heavy equipment
• Perform diagnostics using laptops and scan tools
• Complete welding and fabrication (ACR, MIG, TIG, gas cutting, grinding)
• Work in field conditions with exposure to weather, dust, fumes, and road hazards
• Use required PPE and participate in ongoing training
• Support additional Public Works duties as needed

Physical Requirements

• Lift and carry 50–100 lbs.
• Frequent bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing
• Regular movement in and out of vehicles and equipment
• Ability to work extended shifts during winter storms and emergency operations
• Ability to wear required protective equipment
