Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Therapist committed to empowering individuals on their journey toward optimal well-being. In this transformative role, you will guide clients in addressing their mental and emotional health needs through an integrative approach, embracing the eight dimensions of wellness: emotional, spiritual, physical, social, financial, environmental, intellectual, and occupational. By identifying root causes and crafting personalized strategies, you will promote holistic healing and balance.
Job Duties and Responsibilities- Assessment and Diagnosis:
Conduct comprehensive assessments to explore clients' mental health concerns, considering all dimensions of wellness. Utilize diagnostic tools to identify disorders and craft individualized treatment plans. - Therapy and Treatment:
Offer a blend of traditional and holistic therapy, including yoga, meditation, mindfulness, and more. Facilitate sessions for individuals, couples, families, or groups to resolve emotional issues, traumas, and personal development goals. - Holistic Interventions:
Integrate alternative therapies like art therapy, music therapy, aromatherapy, and nature therapy to address clients' minds, bodies, and spirits, fostering the emergence of their authentic selves. - Lifestyle Modification
Coaching:
Guide clients in adopting positive lifestyle changes, such as healthy eating, better sleep, stress management, and wellness routines, while educating them on the link between mental and physical health. - Collaborative Approach:
Coordinate with healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive, integrated approach to clients' mental health and wellness needs. - Advocacy and
Education:
Raise awareness of holistic mental health through community engagement. Educate clients on self-empowerment, resilience, and maintaining balance. - Ethical Conduct:
Maintain professional ethics and client confidentiality, ensuring ethical and competent engagement.
- Advanced mental health degree (Master's or Doctorate) and an active, unrestricted Maryland license as a mental health professional (e.g., LMSW, LCSW, LCSW-C, LMFT, LGPC, LCPC, Psychologist). Licensing in Maryland is mandatory.
- Proven clinical expertise with diverse populations within the field.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for fostering supportive supervisory relationships and team collaboration.
- Strong understanding of ethical guidelines and legal requirements in mental health practice.
- Proficient organizational and time-management skills for effective supervision scheduling, documentation, and deadline adherence.
