We have an outstanding career opportunity for an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join a leading Company located in Havre De Grace, MD.

Salary:
$30-$40 hourly Contract/ $62,400 - $83,200 annually DH

Shift:  Must be flexible for 2nd and 3rd shift work

** Needs to have injection molding experience or come from the plastics industry*
* We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Mechanic with expertise in Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), injection molding, and electrical systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of machinery and equipment used in our manufacturing facility. This position requires a proactive individual who can ensure the smooth operation and reliability of our production processes.

Job Responsibilities:

+  Equipment Maintenance:

+  Perform routine and preventative maintenance on a variety of industrial equipment, including injection molding machines, PLCs, and electrical systems.

+  Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in machinery.

+  Conduct regular inspections to identify potential problems and address them before they cause production delays.

+  PLC Programming and Troubleshooting:

+  Read, interpret, and modify PLC programs to optimize equipment performance.

+  Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to PLC-controlled equipment.

+  Collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement and improve automation processes.

+  Injection Molding:

+  Maintain and repair injection molding machines and related auxiliary equipment.

+  Ensure molds are installed correctly and perform mold changes as needed.

+  Monitor the injection molding process to ensure product quality and consistency.

+  Electrical Systems:

+  Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including motors, drives, and control panels.

+  Perform electrical troubleshooting using schematics and diagnostic tools.

+  Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety standards.

General Responsibilities:

+  Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.

+  Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance procedures and best practices.

+  Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.

+  Adhere to all safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Basic Hiring Criteria:

+  High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in industrial maintenance or a related field preferred.

+  Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an industrial maintenance mechanic, with specific experience in PLCs, injection molding, and electrical systems.

+  Strong knowledge of PLC programming, troubleshooting, and repair.

+  Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

+  

Experience with injection molding machines and processes.

+  Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.

+  Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

+  Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

+  Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

+ 2nd shift hours-2:45pm-11:15pm / 3rd shift hours 10:45pm-7:15am (Training will be on 1st shift, after which the position will transition to either 2nd or 3rd shift. Candidates must be flexible to train on 1st shift and work either 2nd or 3rd shift as assigned).
