Middle School Teacher

Two positions available. Salary for first year teacher with no experience ranges from $43,507 to $65,450 depending on education and experience.

Universal obligations/expectations of each staff member include prioritizing student safety, health, and well-being, and aligning all duties with the District's Strategic Plan.

Essential functions include planning and developing a course of study, developing and presenting lesson plans, preparing assignments and tests, monitoring and grading student performances, conducting standardized tests, maintaining classroom order, sharing lunchroom duties, counseling students, keeping records, reporting on student development, consulting with professionals, coordinating with parents, reporting suspected child abuse, complying with Board policies, recommending student promotion, participating in faculty meetings, supervising classroom aides, and other assigned duties.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities include understanding teaching methods, knowledge of elementary school curriculum, data analysis, federal and state laws, computer use, time management, effective communication, self-evaluation, maintaining cooperative relationships, and confidentiality.

Qualifications include MT State Certification as an Elementary Teacher and a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or related discipline.

Equipment used includes electronic and technology devices, copier, telephone/voice mail, and fax.

Work environment involves regular indoor work with some outdoor duties, meeting deadlines, working irregular or extended hours, and ensuring student safety. Physical demands include sitting, walking, standing, twisting, kneeling, and specific vision abilities. Mental/motor demands include flexibility, time constraints, attentiveness, and social interactions.
