Our evidence‑based, culturally appropriate, trauma‑informed behavioral health services address the diverse needs of those we serve.

Shift: Saturday/Sunday – 7AM – 7:30PM – Part‑Time .6 FTE – This shift is eligible for added shift differential as outlined below.

• Provide direct treatment services in an inpatient setting to adults who are experiencing serious and/or chronic mental health disorders.
• Take vital signs, administer medications, complete nursing assessments, and document patient responses.
• Complete admissions, discharges, and transferring patients.
• Administer and monitor patient basic care utilizing the nursing process within the RN scope of practice.
• Medication administration/safety/monitoring.
• Carry out physicians’ orders as assigned.
• Demonstrate positive leadership and goal‑oriented productivity within scope of practice.
• Carry out care plan objectives and goals.
• Assist in delivery of client education.
• Maintain standards of professional nursing practice in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
• Comply with all state WACs.
• Facilitate therapeutic communication with patients, visitors, and co‑workers.
• Complete through, timely incident reports as needed.
• Respond to patient needs and concerns and escalated through supervisory chain as indicated.
• Complete thorough, accurate and complete reporting and documentation of patient’s symptoms and progress.
• Effectively utilize customer service and motivational interviewing skills to promote appropriate patient‑centered care.
• Demonstrate flexibility in responding to change and in working with diverse groups and individuals.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Required:
  • Active RN license in the State of Washington at the time of hire.
  • Active BLS within 90 days of hire and must maintain active BLS.
• Preferred:
  • 1‑2 years’ experience in a psychiatric setting.
  • Previous inpatient experience.

• Ability to communicate with individuals of various backgrounds, education levels and socio‑economic status.
• Ability to apply trauma‑informed concepts and practices related to patient care.
• Must have basic computer skills including ability to document in an electronic medical record, use electronic time tracking, use of Outlook, Word and intranet.

Blood‑borne Pathogen Category I – Chance of blood‑borne pathogen exposure.

$43.15 – $52.58. All pay is based on longevity at Frontier Behavioral Health; thus, the starting base pay for this position is $43.15 per hour plus added shift differential below.
