Overview

Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ER) with rotating ICU coverage in Havre, Montana.

Start date:

07/29/2026. Assignment duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,227–$2,446. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week.

Shift: Rotating.

Employment type:

Travel - Temporary Assignment. Setting: acute care environment requiring collaboration with the medical team to deliver patient care and patient education. This travel assignment is offered by Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

  • Setting: ER with ICU rotation in an acute care environment
Responsibilities
  • Deliver direct nursing care to ED patients, including initial assessment, triage, stabilization, and ongoing monitoring
  • Administer medications, manage IVs and monitoring equipment, and assist with procedures under physician direction
  • Respond to emergencies, support rapid response and code events, and elevate appropriately
  • Rotate between ER and ICU departments as assigned, collaborating with physicians, nursing colleagues, and other health professionals
  • Document care in the electronic medical record, ensure accurate handoffs, and support safe patient transitions
  • Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions; participate in discharge planning and referrals as appropriate
Requirements
  • Active Registered Nurse license in good standing (state of Montana or compact license accepted)
  • ER and ICU experience; ability to float between departments as patient needs dictate
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment with strong communication and critical thinking skills
  • Comfort with rotating shifts and handling a broad range of patient populations in acute care
