Hours:
40 hours/week, 12‑month position. Shift may vary depending on the needs of the building. Compensation: $21.66 per hour.
Delivers warehouse goods, mail, cafeteria food and copy work; assists district staff with material transport between buildings; serves as custodian for the warehouse; and performs related duties and general maintenance as required.
Essential Functions- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all areas of the warehouse.
- Load delivery trucks, pick stock, store stock, and perform other required duties.
- Load trucks and safely deliver school food goods or other items according to schedule established by the supervisor and food service manager.
- Picks up and delivers mail, equipment, cafeteria food, and other items as needed.
- Assist with inter‑district deliveries: help copy person with paper box movement, deliver copy material to designated parties, pick up bulk mail deliveries, and deliver inter‑district items, ensuring timely completion.
- Maintain warehouse vehicles and forklift in orderly fashion and request mechanical attention as needed.
- Assist in physical inventories as assigned by the supervisor.
- Substitute for the Robins custodial staff when required.
- Maintain the front step during inclement weather.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED; related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence; ability to communicate with a variety of co‑workers and supervisors. - Mathematical
Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure; compute rates, ratios, and percentages; interpret bar graphs. - Reasoning Ability: Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in oral, written or diagram form; solve problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must possess or be able to obtain a state driver’s license and be licensed to drive a forklift; maintain a clean driving record and be insurable at normal rates by the district insurance carrier.

Skills:
Experience working as a truck driver and/or in a shipping/receiving position is preferred; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, and community; ability to reason and multi‑task.
The employee frequently works in outdoor weather conditions; occasionally works in high or precarious places; is exposed to vibrations; and works in a generally loud environment.
Physical DemandsThe role requires frequent standing, walking, sitting, reaching with hands and arms, climbing or balancing, and stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. The employee must frequently lift or move up to 100 pounds and maintain close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision.
Mental/Motor DemandsTasks involve routine work, flexibility to shift between tasks, work within time constraints, maintain attentiveness and intensity, and sometimes engage in oral and written communication.
