Delivery Driver

Overview

Northern Home Essentials is looking for a Delivery Driver to join our team. As a Delivery Driver, you are a key member of the team and responsible for delivering household goods to clients and installation into their homes. Items include full-size appliances, mattresses, and home electronics. The delivery team unloads freight trucks and loads products into customers' vehicles for safe transport to their end destination.

• 1 year delivery driving experience required
• Deliver a wide variety of items to different addresses and different routes
• Install, hookup and test products in customers  homes
• Follow route and schedule
• Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate delivery vehicle
• Ability to operate Tommy lift gate in a variety of weather and traffic conditions
• Follow DOT regulations and safety standards
• Must be able to lift and move a minimum of 50 to 100 lbs

• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to drive multiple types of vehicles, e.g., box truck and express van
• Excellent organizational skills
• Must be able to work independently
• Must have excellent time management skills
• Ability to communicate effectively and maintain effective relationships with current customers and vendors
• Must be 18 years old or older due to insurance requirements
