Part-Time Administrative Assistant
This is an In Office position. The office is located at the Pulehunui base yard. Candidates must be willing/able to commute to the office.

At Tom's Backhoe & Excavation Co., we specialize in civil construction projects across Maui, handling everything from excavation and grading to utility installations and site preparation. Our company has built a strong reputation for reliability, professionalism, and top tier service. As we continue to expand, we need a dedicated Office Admin/Assistant to help support our day-to-day operations and keep everything on track.
Key Responsibilities- Provide administrative support to the team, including scheduling, data entry, and correspondence.
- Assist with document management, including contracts, invoices, and job site paperwork.
- Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project operations.
- Answer phone calls and emails, respond to inquiries, and direct them to the appropriate team members.
- Maintain office organization, inventory, and supplies.
- Assist with payroll processing and employee time tracking.
- Support the project team with any additional administrative tasks as needed.
- Previous admin experience in construction, contracting, or a related field is a plus
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to multitask.
- Experience handling confidential information
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
- Working knowledge of Google Suite
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Experience with payroll, invoicing, or bookkeeping is a plus!
- Experience with Slack and/or a plus
- Part Time 20 Hours a week.
