Job Description

Pacific Missile Range Facility (PMRF), Barking Sands provides support for services related to Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E), Science and Technology (S&T) and U.S. Navy Training Programs on the island of Kauai. PMRF has been designated a test site for Missile Defense Agency (MDA) programs such as AEGIS Ballistic Missile Defense (ABMD) and the Aegis Ashore (AA) Programs and in the Navy Test and Evaluation programs for Standard Missiles and Strategic Systems Programs.

Advanced developmental, operational, and interoperability weapons system testing will continue at PMRF for Test and Evaluation elements and systems through the foreseeable future. In addition, the Department of Defense (DoD) executes other near‑term test and evaluation initiatives at PMRF including national priority programs for short, mid‑range, and long‑range flight vehicles; critical measurements; directed energy, global strike, hypersonic weapon, unmanned aerial systems and a host of other R&D&E and S&T efforts.

Each of the Fleet and T&E events requires varying degrees of administrative, program and mission planning, supply, logistics and documentation support.

Reporting to the Program Manager, the Administrative Assistant provides Universal Documentation System (UDS)/Logistics support, mission operations support, analyzing and determining program resources on the Pacific Missile Range Facility (PMRF) Support Services contract. This position is located in Kekaha, HI (Kauai).

Responsibilities
  • Provide programmatic support services to various programs under the Hawaii Detachments contract.
  • Coordinate and develop comprehensive reports through gathering, analyzing, and summarizing data and information from a
  • Prepare presentation materials for a wide audience.
  • Bid and proposal support if requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements

Required Qualifications
  • Able to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance is required to be considered for this position.
  • HS Diploma required.
  • Must possess ability to interpret and follow oral and written instructions, specifications, reference manuals, and other guidance.
  • Excellent communication skills with emphasis on effectively communicating program details within all levels of management and capable of working independently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project, SharePoint, and Visio.
  • Experience producing written documentation, to include, but not limited to procedures and instructions.
  • Experience managing, tracking, prioritizing, and scheduling multiple projects simultaneously and with meeting short deadlines.
  • Must be able to attend various customer and/or corporate meetings in‑person at different base locations on PMRF (requires traveling 400 yards in distance to other buildings on base).
  • Must possess basic computer literacy and data entry skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated problem‑solving skills.
  • Must possess strong time management skills.
  • Must be able to work in a fast‑paced, changing, and challenging environment.
  • Must be able to remain seated in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must also be able to alternate between sitting, standing, and walking.
