Hawaii Academy of Arts and Science PCS seeks the following position for the school year.
Academic Administrative AssistantFull Time, 10 month
-This position will start with a half time training schedule of 4 hours per day, then full time 8 hours per day on teacher days.
SummaryProvides administrative support to Academic Leadership. Performs a variety of difficult and complex clerical and administrative work. Works to create a school culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, teamwork, and high performance.
Education, Experience and QualificationsAssociates or two years college preferred.
Experience working with school age children desired.
Experience relevant to school testing and coordination activities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Clerical skills including typing, data entry, and report creation.
Technical skills including MS Suite (Word, Excel), Adobe, and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, etc).
Valid driver license, satisfactory traffic abstract, daily access to a registered and insured vehicle.
Ability to drive a 15 passenger van.
Must be ethical and honest. Must have excellent interpersonal, organizational, time management, follow-through, and oral and written communication skills. Must be extremely flexible and able to work independently.
Must be knowledgeable and comfortable working with technology and software programs, including MS Excel and Word, Google Suite and other electronic communication systems and be able to acquire additional skills for use of software, databases or other information systems as necessary. Must be able to meet professional obligations through effective work habits such as: meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, coordinating resources in an effective and timely manner, and demonstrating respect for others.
Must be able to successfully analyze information, manage complexity, report results, enter data, and observe school and state policies as well as state and federal laws with attention to detail, confidentiality, and
