The Dental Assistant is an integral part of the dental team, providing essential support through various clinical procedures, patient care, and administrative duties.

• Prepares treatment rooms, instruments, and materials.
• Assists providers during clinical procedures and maintains operating field.
• Prepares patients, obtains medical and dental histories with vitals, and ensures patient comfort for treatment.
• Documents procedures and clinical information in patient records.
• Sterilizes and maintains instruments and equipment.
• Provides patient education on oral hygiene and postoperative care.
• Maintains supplies, equipment, and clinic readiness as instructed by the lead dental assistant.

• Other duties as assigned by the Lead Dental Assistant or Director of Dental.

• Required:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks accurately.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn electronic medical records systems.
• Preferred:
  • One year of dental office experience.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).

• Frequent standing, sitting, and walking.
• Repetitive use of hands and fine motor skills for dental procedures and equipment.
• Occasional bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Exposure to clinical environment, including possible exposure to bodily fluids.
