This position examines, diagnoses, treats and manages diseases, injuries, and disorders of the visual system, the eye, and associated structures. This position prescribes eyeglasses and/or contact lenses as necessary and identifies related systemic conditions affecting the eye.
Graduate from an accredited School of Optometry
Licensed as an optometrist in the State of Hawaii
2 years' experience in optometric patient care, preferred
Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships and supporting/facilitating positive team interaction/development
Skill and ability to operate varied office equipment
Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing and understand verbal and written communications
Ability to perform complex mathematical calculations
Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time
Ability to interpret and apply guidelines and procedures
Ability to act calmly and tactfully in stressful or confrontational situations
Ability to work in a high-volume, sometimes stressful environment
Ability to be accurate and attentive to detail
