Long Term PreK Substitute; Temporary

Holy Nativity School (HNS), an independent Episcopal school in East Honolulu committed to being a place Where every child is known and loved, seeks a nurturing and experienced educator to serve as the Temporary Long-Term Substitute Lead Teacher for our Pre-Kindergarten (4-year-old) class during the first quarter of the 2026–2027 school year.

This position includes in-service training July 27–31, 2026, and full-time classroom leadership August 3–October 2, 2026 (Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m.).

Responsibilities include leading a joyful, developmentally appropriate, play-based classroom; supporting students’ social-emotional and academic growth; communicating with families; completing first quarter progress reports; conducting September parent-teacher conferences; and collaborating with assistant and specialist teachers and colleagues.

Qualifications:

Must meet Hawaii DHS/PATCH lead teacher requirements
Prior Preschool or Pre-K experience required

Strong communication and organizational skills

Compensation commensurate with experience.

Education:

2 Year Degree
