Graduate Recruitment and Outreach Coordinator
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Graduate Recruitment and Outreach Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will lead efforts to attract, engage, and support talented graduate students and early-career professionals. Based in the Laie and Kahuku area , you will act as a representative of Southern Utah University – International Affairs . Your primary focus will be building networks and recruiting students from BYU-Hawaii into Southern Utah University’s graduate programs, specifically the Master of Business Administration (MBA) .
This is a part-time, paid position with a schedule of no more than 29 hours per week , offering an exciting opportunity to influence the future workforce while gaining valuable experience in education administration, recruiting, and public engagement.
The SUU MBA, housed in the AACSB-accredited Dixie L. Leavitt School of Business , is delivered in an online format and experiential learning environment ideal for working professionals. Your energetic approach will help prospective candidates shape their degrees to meet their unique career aspirations.
Duties
- Regional Recruitment: Lead targeted recruitment efforts within the Laie and Kahuku communities to bridge BYU-Hawaii students to SUU’s graduate offerings.
- Strategic Outreach: Develop and implement innovative strategies to connect with university students and recent graduates across multiple channels.
- Event Coordination: Organize and coordinate campus visits, career fairs, information sessions, and virtual webinars to showcase the MBA and other graduate opportunities.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong partnerships with university career services, faculty, student organizations, and community partners.
- Public Speaking: Deliver engaging presentations on career pathways, the benefits of an AACSB-accredited degree, and organizational values.
- Systems Management: Assist in the application review process using Ellucian to track applicant data and streamline recruitment workflows.
- Academic Advising: Provide guidance and support to students through advising sessions related to career planning and professional development.
- Collaboration: Work with internal teams to create promotional materials highlighting SUU’s commitment to diversity, inclusion, and student success.
Requirements
- Experience: Proven background in public speaking, teaching, or working directly with students in an educational setting.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Ellucian or similar student information systems used in higher education administration.
- Administrative
Skills:
Strong background in education administration, academic advising, or talent acquisition within a university environment. - Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills with the ability to motivate and engage diverse audiences.
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high attention to detail.
- Availability: Ability to manage workload effectively within a maximum of 29 hours per week .
- Regional Knowledge: Prior experience or deep familiarity with the university landscape in Hawaii is highly desirable.
