Salary$3,606 to $4,563 per month (SR‑11, Step C to I)
Job SummaryPerforms highly complex library support work; supervises and participates in performing complex library support work; and/or performs substantive technical/paraprofessional library support work which requires knowledge and understanding of techniques used in one or more of the basic elements of library sciences; and performs other related duties as assigned.
ResponsibilitiesPerform complex library support work, supervise and participate in library support, provide non‑professional support for a school library, and perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications- Legal Authorization to Work
:
Citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment. - General Experience
:
One year of clerical work demonstrating knowledge of spelling, arithmetic, reading and following instructions, and performing clerical procedures. - Specialized Experience
:
Two years of progressive responsibility in a library performing circulation, stack maintenance, processing orders, posting receipts, locating and verifying bibliographic information, and using standard reference sources. At least one year must be comparable to Library Assistant IV level. - Supervisory Aptitude
:
Demonstrated aptitude or potential for supervisory duties through relevant assignments, group or team leadership, or supervisory training. - Driver’s License
:
Valid driver’s license at time of appointment. - Lift and Carry
:
Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 80 lbs assisted. - PREA Requirement
:
Must not have engaged in sexual abuse or related conduct as described by the Prison Rape Elimination Act of 2003. - Drug screening and background check subject to cost responsibility.
