Mathematics Instructor; Grades 6-8

Position Overview

Seabury Hall is seeking an engaging and student-centered Middle School Mathematics Teacher to join our faculty for the 2026 to 2027 academic year. This role is designed for an educator passionate about problem-based instruction and helping students develop deep conceptual understanding and confidence.

• Teach courses in grades 6 through 8 mathematics and Algebra I, utilizing the Illustrative Mathematics curriculum framework.
• Differentiate instruction for a range of learners and foster mathematical reasoning through collaboration and multiple representations.
• Create a classroom culture that supports curiosity, persistence, and productive struggle.
• Participate wholeheartedly in student life, advising, and school-wide traditions.
• Uphold the school’s EPIC values of Empowerment, Passion, Integrity, and Curiosity.

• Hold a degree in mathematics or mathematics education.
• Bring proven classroom experience and demonstrate mastery of the subject matter.
• Possess pedagogical versatility to meet diverse learner needs.
• Have a gift for creating a supportive classroom culture.

Salary ranges $60,000 to $75,000 and is commensurate with education and experience.
