The position requires high-level teaching skills in high‑school biology, cultural integration, and student-centered practices. • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (equivalent experience may be substituted).

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Master’s or doctoral degrees in the instructional area.
• Experience with differentiated instruction, project‑based learning, or personalized learning.
• Technology integration experience.
• Recent teaching experience and up to 5+ years of instruction in primary subject areas.
• Experience with native Hawaiian culture, Hawaiian language, or related interests.
• Knowledge of social justice, sustainability, and Christian values.
• Athletic, performing‑arts, or student‑club coaching experience is a plus.

• Expertise in biology and ability to create interdisciplinary curriculum.
• Knowledge of age‑appropriate instructional methods.
• Strong relational skills with students and families.
• Ability to differentiate and personalize instruction for diverse learners.
• Group‑management skills in various instructional environments.
• Effective communication with students, parents, counselors, and administrators.
• Team‑collaboration and time‑management abilities.

• Knowledge of current instructional strategies.
• Recent teaching experience in related instructional areas.

• Frequent movement and use of technology equipment.
• Standard vision and hearing requirements.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 20 pounds, and perform manual tasks.
• Capacity for squatting, kneeling, crawling, and working above shoulder level as needed.

• Instruction in classroom and other learning environments.
• Standard school hours Monday–Friday; evening or weekend work may be required.
• Occasional travel for staff or curriculum development.

Pay Range: $61,111.00 – $ annual. Benefits include medical, Rx, vision, 401(k) match, and other standard KS employee benefits.
