Position: Modeling and Simulation Anlayst with Security Clearance
Location: Pearl Harbor

Description SAIC is seeking a Modeling & Simulation (M&S) Engineer for an Air Force TENCAP HOPE 2.0 contract at Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam, Hawaii. This exciting and important position will support the delivery of local and distributed virtual and constructive training environments to US, allied, coalition, and partner military forces. The M&S Engineer will:
* Provide M&S support for all federations, models, and systems through the Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC) in preparation for, during, and after events, including configuration management, system integration, troubleshooting, software and hardware support, and database (unit, terrain, visual and entity) development. * "Events" refer to activities requiring M&S support, including:
* Training missions, exercises and mission rehearsals.
* Functional, operational, risk reduction, and integration tests.
* Identify and submit innovative M&S solutions to enhance existing capabilities.
* Review test plans and develop test benches for software libraries.
* Ensure models and simulations comply with DoW and USAF Information Assurance and network security protocols.
* Provide support for all models, maps, underlays, and terrain databases in preparation for, during, and after events.
* Prepare, coordinate, and present briefings and lead discussions with a wide range of audiences as requested by the USAF. Qualifications

Experience and Qualifications:

* Ability to effectively configure, troubleshoot, and operate M&S federations, models, systems, and their associated components.
* Experience working in a distributed environment using both Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) and High-Level Architecture (HLA) protocols.
* Understanding of TCP/UDP network communication.
* Understanding of Unicast, Multicast, and Broadcast networking.
* Bachelor's and 14 years of M&S experience, or relevant experience in lieu of degree.
* Security+ Certification
* US Citizen and actively possess a Secret Clearance. Desired

Experience and Qualifications:

* Experience with M&S federation tools such as Joint Simulation Protocol Analyzer (JSPA), DIS-Filter, and/or JLVC Analysis Workstation (JAWS).
* Familiarity with VMWare and the creation and use of virtual machines.
* Experience working in a virtual computing environment.
* Experience using networking tools such as Wireshark, One Connect, and Netlink.
* Familiarity reviewing and editing simulation model XML files.
* Experience with Windows and Linux system administration and scripting.
* Experience developing engineering network solutions and technical diagrams, as well as providing port and protocol information for specified systems. Salary
* Salary is dependent upon candidate experience and other factors. Target salary range: $160,001 - $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
