Position Overview

Department of Facility Maintenance – Storm Water Quality DivisionAnnual salaries commensurate with applicable experience, pending approval: $6,528 to $7,317 per month.
What You Will Do- Assist with professional engineering projects related to the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) Storm Water Management Program.
- Plan, design, construction management, product evaluation, research & development, system optimization, database management, and Geographic Information System (GIS) mapping.
- May participate in periodic cross training and supplementary work activities within the division to comply with regulatory obligations.
Annual salaries commensurate with applicable experience, pending approval: $6,528 to $7,530 per month.
What You Will Do- Perform routine to moderately complex professional engineering work under general supervision.
- Plan, organize, coordinate, and direct all technical and administrative activities of simple projects assigned.
- Assist higher‑level engineers on more complex projects and tasks.
Annual salaries commensurate with applicable experience, pending approval: $6,528 to $7,317 per month.
What You Will Do- Perform professional engineering work under general supervision including contract administration and compliance oversight for various facets of construction projects.
- Plan, organize, and manage assigned Capital Improvement Program (CIP) funded projects.
- Assist higher‑level engineers on more complex projects and tasks.
- Citizen, national, or permanent resident alien of the United States or a non‑citizen eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering specialty from a regionally accredited four‑year college or university. - Experience:
Two years of non‑registered professional civil engineering experience (or one year substitution with a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering). - Knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices, engineering mathematics, mechanics of materials, topographic surveying, structural, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and sanitary engineering concepts as they apply to civil engineering.
- Ability to perform civil engineering design work and supervise construction and inspection activities, analyze stresses and determine required foundations and structural features, supervise a small group of subordinate employees, and prepare engineering and inspection reports.
- Possession of an appropriate valid driver’s license, as required.
