Job DescriptionDuties are performed in support of the Board of Land and Natural Resources' intent to meet the approved social and economic demands of both the public and private sectors of the State of Hawaii. Land Agents perform work in the acquisition of lands for public purposes, in the disposition of public lands for approved public and private purposes, and in the inspection and enforcement of terms and conditions of land dispositions and provisions of public land laws.
The Land Agent I serves in an advanced trainee capacity, receiving formal and on-the-job training; assists in the preparation of routine transactions including making inspections of lands and enforcement of terms, conditions, statutes, rules and regulations pertaining to the administration and management of State and public lands; and performs other duties as required.

The State of Hawaii requires all persons seeking employment with the government of the State shall be citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States. Basic
Education:
Graduation from an accredited four (4) year college or university with a bachelor's degree. Specialized
Experience:
Six (6) months of progressively responsible professional experience which demonstrated knowledge of Hawaii Land laws, real estate laws and terminology, the real property appraisal process, various types of land titles and legal instruments affecting land transactions; and the ability to gather and analyze land transaction data; prepare reports of findings, including conclusions and recommendations, and meet and deal effectively with others.
