Required Skills & Experience
• 5+ years of experience planning and executing a Component or Joint Exercise Program
• Experience with the Five Stages of the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC)
• Experience with the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP), Army Design Methodology (ADM), and Joint Planning Process (JPP)
• Experience at an Operational or higher-level Headquarters staff, such as Corps, DRU, ASCC, or ACOM
• Knowledge of Joint and Multinational exercise design at the operational level
• Ability to take an exercise from the concept phase, plan the exercise, and prepare and provide a senior-level concept of operation brief
• Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
• Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree
• Graduate of a Command and General Staff College Intermediate Level Education or Component equivalent
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• 8+ years of experience at the Brigade level or above
• Experience supporting and managing an exercise budget with multiple funding streams
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Office 365
• Experience with JTT and ARTIMS
• Experience with serving in Japan
• Knowledge of the aspects of Multi-Domain Operations
• Possession of excellent time management and organizational leadership skills
• Possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Top Secret clearance
• Master's degree
Job Description As an Exercise Planner, you'll plan and execute military exercises for the G37. Your planning efforts will include the development of JELC exercise products, including exercise orders, supporting staff products, and synchronizing the various war fighting functions. During exercise execution, you'll serve on the team that replicates higher headquarters, enabling an Operations Group (OPSGRP) to maintain clear situational awareness of enabling the conditions for units to train to standard.
