JOB SUMMARY:The primary role of the Treatment Services Supervisor is to provide clinical supervision of the treatment services provided by the residential and outpatient counseling staff to ensure that all integrated substance use disorder treatment program service delivery, licensing, accreditation and best practices and contract standards/procedures are met. Supervisor may cover and/or maintain a small client caseload.
QUALIFICATIONS:Certified Substance Abuse Counselor Certification (CSAC) and a minimum of two years of supervisory experience required. Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS) certification and/or master's degree in a behavioral health discipline preferred. Preference for a minimum of 5 years' experience in a residential substance use treatment facility for women and/or supervisory or managerial role in any accredited substance use treatment program. Personal vehicle and valid Hawaii State driver license required
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:- Provides supervision, selection and training of substance abuse counselors and completes annual employee performance evaluations.
- Collaborates with other program coordinators and supervisors to ensure quality treatment services across the continuum as part of Program and Joint Management Teams.
- Supports quality improvement in accordance with all licensing, accreditation, and contract standards in coordination with the Clinical Director and QI and Data Specialist.
- Updates program schedules, handbooks, phase packets, client documents and agency policies related to substance use treatment programming.
- Conducts bi-monthly clinical staff meetings with the Clinical Director and chairs weekly treatment team meetings-outpatient and residential programs.
- In accordance with census needs, may support counseling team as a direct service provider, including some counseling, treatment planning and class facilitation.
- Performs other related management duties as assigned.
Able to meet basic standards of physical, mental health, and communication demands. Specified by State and/or professional accreditation standards applicable to this agency. Initial/Annual criminal background check, pre-employment, annual physical examination, CPR/first aid, TB test, and driver abstract compliance with agency policy are required.
