Job Overview:
Reports to the Chief Clinical Officer (CCO) or designee, the Registered Dietitian (RDN) supports the LCHC WIC program and provides nutrition education and counseling to WIC participants and all LCHC patients in alignment with our integrated, holistic care model. The RDN contributes to program performance goals, provides staff training, supports health management initiatives, and participates in community outreach. Services are delivered both on-site and via telemedicine.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and manage the WIC nutrition program in compliance with federal, state, and contractual requirements.

Provide nutrition education and counseling to WIC participants and LCHC patients through in-person and telehealth consultations.

Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and document patient encounters in ECW per Medical Record Policy.

Support chronic disease management as part of the LCHC clinical care team.

Develop and provide nutrition education for LCHC staff.

Collaborate with leadership to monitor program quality and patient outcome metrics.

Ensure culturally and linguistically appropriate services, including access to translated materials and interpreter services.

Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.

Participate in required WIC meetings, staff trainings, and community outreach activities.

Maintain professional licensure/certification and adhere to LCHC policies and safety standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in nutrition, Dietetics, or related field
  • State licensure or certification as required
  • Strong knowledge of nutritional principles and diet therapy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
